Its history: The black pepper of Madagascar "piper nigrum" is cultivated in the eastern region of the big Malagasy island. It is not endemic to Madagascar unlike its cousin the "pepper of voatsiperifery" and was introduced by the French in the early twentieth century.
It is a black pepper cultivated and of Indonesian origin picked by hand twice a year just glowing by our brave Malagasy farmers who after cleaning and drying will give us this beautiful black and whole berry with a crumpled skin of a caliber ranging from 3 to 5 mm and then transformed into powder.
